GERHARD SCHRODER was born in 1944.
He never knew his father who was killed while he was fighting for Germany
Mr. Schroder’s mother cleaned houses to support her 5 children.
His family was poor.
Gerhard had to leave school at age 14 to work in a store.
However, later, he returned to school.
He became a lawyer at the age of 32.
